Therapy sessions for adults and adolescents are 1 hour long. Sessions for children and neurodivergent adolescents can be reduced to 30-45 minutes if appropriate.

The frequency of therapy sessions will depend on your clinical need and financial capacity. Most clients start with weekly sessions and decrease to fortnightly after a few months. I am aware that finances can often play a part in how often you are able to meet - together we can develop a plan which suits you both financially and clinically.

As your child’s parent, you are a very key part of their life. Without your support, your child will not be able to make any practical changes to their life. As well as supporting their work with me, it is also important to acknowledge that as parents we have an influence on our children. It is important to be reflective about any changes we can make to improve our child’s mood or behaviour. In parent therapy sessions, we will build an understanding of your child behaviour and explore how to respond to them in these moments. We will also explore what you find difficult about supporting your child and provide you with space to reflect upon and process the difficult parts of parenting.
